Alexis, in 2006, you and I crossed paths as I was looking for an Assistant at Fashion Hall. You filled that position effortlessly with your excellent work ethic and knowledge. You were dependable, reliable, and trustworthy. You kept me organized and were instrumental in the operations of Fashion Hall. It was a joy to have you as my Assistant for ten years.
With your support, I was allowed to focus on other aspects of the Company and take much-needed time off without worrying about something going wrong. You made my life much easier, in and out of the office. Although our journey together at Fashion Hall ended, the bond that we created blossomed into more than “a boss and an assistant” in the workplace. You became not only a great friend but also my Assistant in life. I depended on you, and you relied on me whenever I needed you.
Alexis, your life wasn’t nearly long enough, but you lived it well, and in doing so, you left an unforgettable impact on everyone who had the privilege to have known you. I feel comforted knowing that you enjoyed life to the fullest – evidenced by your infectious laugh and annual vacations. I hope to see and experience some of the many places you have visited.
Alexis, I will miss you tremendously, but I am thankful that our paths have crossed. God broke our hearts to prove that he only takes the best. God probably needed you more than me to organize His files and ensure His heavenly reports were in order.
Take your rest, Alexis – we love you, but God loves you best.
